Washington Huskies vs Long Beach State 49ers Open Game Thread

The Huskies look to continue their undefeated streak to start the 2014-15 season as they take on the Long Beach State 49ers in Seattle. Jesse has our full game preview right here.

The Dawgs are fresh off of their most complete defensive performance of the season after thrashing San Jose State last night. Full recap from Erik right here. Robert Upshaw was the star in that one. The big man tied his own record of seven blocks in a game. Mason Kelley did a nice Details piece on him recently.

In other Huskies news, the school announced today that the Huskies will be participating in the "Battle 4 Atlantis" tournament in the 2015 season. The Battle 4 Atlantis will be played over Thanksgiving weekend in Nassau, Bahamas and will include a stacked card of participants including UCONN, Texas, Texas A&M, Syracuse, Michigan and ... wait for it ... Gonzaga.

Could this be the precursor to a resuscitation of the Gonzaga / UW rivarly? We shall see.
