We decided to start compiling short posts recapping each practice during fall camp. The local media does an outstanding job with gathering quotes, interviews and news. Think of our roundups as an easy way to digest and digest all of the news that comes out on a daily basis.
Coach Sark's Wrap:
The biggest hit of the day came late in practice when LB Princeton Fuimaono popped RB Dwayne Washington near the line of scrimmage during an 11-on-11 drill. Washington's helmet flew off, and the redshirt freshman sat out the final 10 minutes. (Watching from the sideline, with the play at full speed, it was hard to tell exactly, but it sure sounded like a helmet-to-helmet hit.) (Via: Seattle Times)
Largest workload yet for Deontae Cooper. He was involved in more drills than prior days and was the back for the 1s and 2s at different parts of practice. He said he feels good. "The closer we get to game day, the more I'm starting to get comfortable with my body," Cooper said. "I'm completely fine. When I watch film, I do see some of the timid things that I do. But, as far as how I feel, I feel good." (Via: The News Tribune)
Redshirt freshman quarterback Cyler Miles further separated himself from the pack of backups behind Keith Price by lofting a perfect ball that hit freshman John Ross in stride 55 yards downfield on a post pattern. Ross, who had beaten his defender by three yards, coasted into the end zone for a 65-yard touchdown. (Via: GoHuskies.com)
