Quevyn Winters, a 6-foot-5 guard from Indian Hills Junior College (Ottumwa, IA) committed to the Huskies on Christmas. Winters joins forwards Donaven Dorsey and Tristan Etienne as members of the Huskies 2014 recruiting class. Winters played for Duquesne University before attending and playing at Indian Hills JC.
Winters is a scoring guard with a solid ability to shoot from beyond the arc.
At Duquesne, Winters averaged 22 minutes a game, averaging 9.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game for the Dukes. Before Duquesne, Winters attended M.A.C.K. Prep Elite Training Academy in Charlotte, N.C. where he averaged 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in 2011-12.
Winters chose Washington over scholarship offers from several other schools including USC, UNLV and Iowa State. He will enter Fall 2014 with two years of eligibility left.
