I missed you. Actually, I missed your Dots and you. Truthfully, I missed your Dots.
- While I'm partial to Dots, I can't help but to get excited for Orange Peanuts.
- The P12 Blog on ESPN is starting to give out season grades for each team. If UW were a student, we'd be on a full ride academic scholarship at WSU, at least according to Gemmel.
- Pacific Takes has some thoughts on how Sarkisian did this year ...and you might recognize the tone of the arguments made.
- Condotta is starting to do in-depth previews of positional groups for 2013. Up first is the Quarterbacks.
- There is information, misinformation and the Internet. Given that, who knows if there will be a uniform change next year or not? I don't. But it looks good ... and what's with the weasel?
- Interesting coaching development in the P12:
Former Cal OL coach/OC Jim Michalczik has joined RichRod’s staff at Arizona.
— Bryan Fischer (@BryanDFischer) January 15, 2013 - You may not have heard that Jake Locker had to go in for shoulder surgery to repair the tattered remains of his left shoulder. The surgery went well and he is already in the Titans' operation center rehabbing his shoulder as well as what remains of his confidence following a rough first season as a starter.
- Another alum is having a much better go of it. All Pro Dashon Goldson is crushing mishappen ball carriers for the Niners, but he may not be the guy you think he is.
- Lots of good recruiting stuff floating around out there including this Insider piece ($) highlighting how Elijah Qualls is attacking his homework in addition to offensive guards. You may have also heard that Qualls has effectively called off his remaining official visits and is now 100% to the Dawgs. As if.
- Two new recruits are enrolled at UW right now. One is a QB that you've all gotten to know. The other is Trevor Walker ($), a guy you are going to want to get to know.
- The Huskies Basketball team is red-hot. A major storyline in our current surge has been the translation of Defensive Effort into Defensive Results. Another is the emergence of CJ Wilcox into something that represents a Player of the Year candidate.
- The Huskies run has not gone unnoticed among the P12 coaches. In today's conference call, one coach flat out called UW the best team in the conference. This sort of hyperbole is normally reserved for the team that you, as a coach, most want to unnerve. To label UW as such is a compliment of the highest stature.
- Why is my wife so into Enya right now. And why am I enjoying it?
- The firing of Kevin O'Neill (thank Gawd) has left USC looking for a coach ... and a familiar name is in the rumor mill. I don't know what this all means, but I suspect someone is going to get a raise.
- Now I get it. The P12 Network is actually just one big hoax designed to sell more tickets to the P12 Tournament. That Larry Scott is much more clever than I originally gave him credit for. That and I think Jason Statham is a dark horse Oscar candidate.

— Pac-12 Conference (@pac12) January 15, 2013 - The Brandon Roy situation continues to depress me. Minnesotans are starting to crack under the pressure.
- Tony Wroten got recalled by the Grizzlies after his third stint in the D-League this year. He has played a total of six minutes off the bench for Memphis.
- Isaiah Thomas went off against the Heat to the tune of 34 points. Makes you wonder about the irony of the Kings's head coach's name. Given all of the recent noise about the possibility of a relocation to Seattle, it isn't surprising that Isaiah may have an opinion or two:
- If you are missing my frequent love dots on Quincy Pondexter, it is only because he has yet to return from his Grade 2 MCL sprain. Get well, Q!
- If you were lacking a reason to support his campaign to be added to the Dunk Contest, allow me to remind you:
- And, lastly, in case you need yet another pick-me-up, there is always a little thing called "hope":
