Picking the Pack - Week Four

Oregon State at UCLA - This is a big game for both programs who are coming off wins against ranked opponents during the non-conference season. My gut tells me to go with UCLA since they are the home team and have the more explosive offense. I also think that UCLA's win over Nebraska was more impressive than OSU's win over Wisconsin. Vegas - Bruins by 7 1/2 - JB Picks - UCLA 27 Oregon State 17

Colorado at Washington State - The toilet bowl comes early this year. Looks to me like the much challenged Cougs will pick up a win to start the conference season. Vegas - Cougs by 21 - JB Picks WSU 31 Colorado 7

California at Southern California - Big game for the Bears who showed well in a loss on the road to tOSU last week. SC is a bigger challenge but the Trojans are pretty banged up so this one should be close. Vegas - Trojans by 16 - JB Picks - USC 35 California 28

Utah at Arizona State - At the start of the season I would have picked Utah going away but perceptions change quickly in college football. I like the Devils at home because they have the edge at QB. Vegas - Devils by 7 - JB Picks - ASU 28 Utah 21

Arizona at Oregon - Big time shootout in Eugene this week. Nobody expected much from the Cats this season but Rich-Rod has them playing at a high level. High enough to give Oregon a game at home? Probably not but the Ducks will give up more points than Vegas expects. Vegas - Quackers by 23 1/2 - JB Picks - Oregon 55 Arizona 35
