Fr Shane Brostek passes the eye test. In fact he passes the eye test so well that he looks like he is a ten year NFL vet who works construction during the off season. His father Bern started as a true freshman and Shane is definitely the frosh linemen who is most ready to play this year if needed.
RS-Fr Derek Brown looks like a completely different quarterback than he did this past spring. Those who think the back up job is going to be a battle between Fr Miles and Fr Lindquist forget about what a physical specimen Brown is. Mix in a full year of coaching under Sark and we are seeing quite a QB developing in front of our eyes. He is big, fast, has a very strong and accurate arm.
RS-Fr Jarrett Finau and So Andrew Hudson look absolutely sculpted. It is like they have muscles growing out of their muscles. These guys are young monsters who are going to become the prototype of what Washington is going to be lining up out on the ends for the next couple of seasons. Factor in the return of Ha'ouli Jamora and Washington will be able to rotate quality all day long.
Sr Semisi Tokolahi looks 100% and ready to go. The combination of him and So Danny Shelton may be one of the better inside combo's in the country. Don't forget about Jr transfer Josh Banks who arrived on campus in great shape and ready to contribute immediately at the three technique.
This is what John Boyle of the Everett Herald is thinking about the offense. "Is it really fair to be asking an offense, which was very good last season, to be even better this year despite losing a first-team all-conference running back and its two leading receivers, and having as much uncertainty at offensive line as any position group on the team? Quite frankly, no, it isn't."
