Dot...Dot...Dawg

Presswire

I continue filling in the lines between the dots for the Gecko this week who is off in far away placed until Monday. In the meantime time stops for no one including the Gecko.

...The Dots

Another new Husky...The Huskies picked up another verbal on Friday from a very talented defensive end from the Phoenix area named Marcus Farria. Marcus isn't a lock to get into school but a lot of guys aren't a year out from graduation. He has serious size and wheels which makes him yet another larger version of Josh Shirley.

Huskies release 2012 roster...Not a lot of surprises here except for the fact that Cory English has changed his last name to something Polynesian.

Bob Condotta counting down his top ten Huskies...Justin Glenn starts off Bob's series at number ten. Bob was supposed to take a couple of weeks off like his comprade Bud Withers but he just couldn't keep away from the keyboard during his summer break. Our condolences to Mrs. Condotta.

The Huskies are in on two athletes from Penn State...The news that OT Ryan Nowicki is looking at UW is no surprise to me since UW was one of his finalists a couple of years ago. I was pretty surprised when he picked PSU because he is from Phoenix. He visited UW this past week and will make a decision as soon as Monday.

LB Khari Fortt is the other player from Penn State...Khari could provide some size, speed, and bulk that we are currently missing inside. No word on when he will visit. He has three years left to play three.

Ted Miller is yawning over Tate Martell...The commitment of Tate Martell was national news and a coaching friend of mine says his film is simply amazing. We get it Ted but national publicity is national publicity and five years isn't a long time to wait for the next Brett Favre.

At 14 he should focus on kid things...John McGrath of the TNT wasn't impressed either and he was inspired enough to write an excellent article on the subject.
