Dawgs Have Their Day In The NFL

After a missing last weeks post for a varied array of reasons, I am back to give you your NFL Husky update. This week will feature two weeks of Dawg performances. Here are your Sunday Bests:

Jake Locker QB Tennessee Titans

Jake was part of maybe the most exciting game in week 3. An overtime shootout that featured the Lions tying the game on a Hail Mary as time expired. Jake had his best game of his young career throwing for 378 yards and 2 TD's. Jake did not throw an interception and was not sacked in the game.

Week 4 was not as good to Jake as he suffered another separation of his left shoulder. The Titans have not decided if he will need surgery yet but Jake is doubtful for week 5.

Donald Butler LB San Diego Chargers

The Chargers - who typically start out slow - are off to a 3-1 start. Donald is a big part of this. Although the Chargers lost to Atlanta 27-3 in week 3, Butler had 12 tackles. San Diego rebounded in a week 4 victory over the Chiefs. In this game Butler had an interception that he took for a TD as the Charger defense created 6 turnovers.

Mason Foster LB Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mason remains a big part of the Buccaneer defense. Although the Bucs are 1-3 that is mostly the fault of the offense. Mason recorded tackle totals of 8 and 10, and recorded a sack of RGIII in week 4.

Dashon Goldson S San Francisco 49ers

The Niners lost week 3 on the road in Minnesota. Dashon only had 3 tackles. Sometime it is good for your safety to have only 3 tackles, but I don't think that was the case this time. The Niners bounced back with a shutout against the Jets in week 4. Dashon had 3 tackles and 2 passes deflected.

Chris Polk RB Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are one of the harder teams to figure out. They have won 3 games by a total of 4 points, but in week 3 got destroyed by the Cardinals. Polk continues to suit up and not receive any carries. I have seen him on the sidelines. In week 4 Polk was seen deep on the kickoff although he is not the return guy. That was the first time I noticed this, but it probably wasn't the first time. It does tell me that Polk is probably suiting up because of his ability to play special teams.

Khalif Barnes OT Oakland Raiders

Oakland had their best game of the year in week 3, knocking off the Steelers. Oakland ran the ball well, so I give Khalif credit for that. Week 4 on the other hand was an embarrassing loss to the Broncos in which the team only mustered 6 points.

Marcel Reece FB Oakland Raiders

Marcel is becoming very active in the Raider passing game. In the week 3 victory he had 4 catches for 27 yards, and returned a kick for 36 yards. He increased that load in week 4, to 5 catches for 54 yards including a 31 yarder.

Daniel Te'o-Nesheim DE Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Daniel once again did not get on the stat sheet for week 3. However in week 4 he had his best statistical game as a pro, recording 4 tackles. Maybe Daniel has finally earned the opportunity for more playing time. The performance did move him up the Sunday Bests list, which is equally important.

Senio Kelemete OG Arizona Cardinals

Senio has not been active for any of the 4 games this year.

Alameda Ta'Amu DT Pittsburgh Steelers

Alameda was inactive in week 3 and the Steelers had a bye in week 4

Oh by the way. Ducks Suck!
