The University of Washington picked up three verbal commitments over the weekend. Nathan Dean from Juanita HS in Kirkland and WR Dwayne Washington from Gahr HS in Cerritos, Ca.. The Husies also received a verbal from CB Demontae Kazee from Cajon HS in San Bernandino, Ca.. Dean and Washington are three star recruits according to Scout while Kazee still has not been rated. All three commitments were verified by Scout.
Dean is the first local lineman out of an outstanding in state class to to commit to the Huskies. His HS coach says that Dean compares very favorably to current Husky Senio Kelemete. Dean chose UW over WSU, Arizona, Colorado, and UCLA.
Dwayne Washington played with current Husky WR Josh Perins in HS. Obviously the coaches have had an eye on him for more than a year. He is the second recruit in this class with the surname of Washington. Washington posted 38 receptions for 638 yards and six touchdowns as a junior in 2010.
Here is a little film on Demontae Kazee who is currently a little off the radar. He has pretty good speed and he closes well. UW is in on a lot of top rated CB's and I expect them to go after a couple more to fill out the class.
