Huskies and Cal face off for the 100th time since 1903 at the Montlake Cut on Saturday. The winner of the dual meet on Saturday will be the odds on favorite to win the national championship in June.
The UW-Cal dual (UW leads 69-29-1 all-time) is a tradition matched only by the Harvard-Yale Regatta (145 races dating back to 1852).
Recruiting
Mercer Island QB Jeff Lindquist will choose between Washington and Stanford on May 1st. If I was a betting man my gut would be saying Washington right now. The Huskies seem to be doing well with all the high profile local recruits. An early commit from a top rated QB is always a good way to kick off the class.
TE Dustin Stanton from Lakewood HS near Marysville recently picked up a scholarship offer from Oregon State. Expect the Huskies to look at him closely. He will be making an unofficial visit this coming weekend to UW.
The Draft
Interesting factoid that I was never aware of.....Washington has never had a QB drafted in the first round. Jake could end up being the first and the more I read the more I think someone will take him within the first fifteen picks.
Litigation
The State of Utah has decided to sue the BCS even though the University of Utah has joined the Pac 12 conference. Expect attorney generals from other states to end up getting involved.

Sean Parker talks about becoming a leader
"Once I committed here, I knew I was going to have to step my game up and be the guy the coaches thought I could be," Parker said. "That played a huge role in me coming here and showing what I could do."
