The first two days of the tournament are my favorites. This is when all the chaos comes down. If you are a fan of Cinderella and the buzzer beater it all starts today. 16 games to keep track of today with three complete. We even have an early upset.
West Virginia 84 Clemson 76 - Final
West Virginia has a 61-71 lead over Clemson with five minutes left to go in the game. Looks like the Mountaineers are in control and will advance.
Butler 60 ODU 58 - Final
Old Dominion and Butler are neck and neck at with Butler leading 43-42 with a little over eleven minute left in that game. This one is close all the way down to the wire with Butler holding on for the win.
Moorehead State 62 Louisville 61 - Final (Bracket Buster)
Moorehead State is leading Louisville 19-13 early in the first half. Moorehead ran out to a 7-0 lead to start the game and has been in control since then. The Cards fall early to a cross state rival in the first big upset of the tournament.
Temple 63 Penn State 61 - Final
Tight game between the two Pennsylvania schools.
Kentucky 59 Princeton 57 - Final
This one just tipped off and the Wildcats are off to an early lead. Much closer that we anticipated but Princeton as usual is a good fundamental team. The Tigers gave the Wildcats everything they could handle but KY wins on a shot with two seconds left in the game.
Pittsburgh 74 UNC Asheville 51 - Final
The top seeded Panthers get out to an early lead against the 15th seed. Pitt seems to be on cruise control in this one.
Richmond 59 Vanderbilt 55 - 6:34 Left
Vandy off to an early lead in the first half against the Spiders. Richmond is hanging in there late in the game trying to upset the SEC Commodores.
San Diego State 46 Northern Colorado 35 - 10:16 Left
SDSU living up to its second seed status.
