Christmas comes early for the Husky football team with confirmation that Josh Banks has committed to Washington. The 6-foot-3, 270-pound JUCO defensive tackle chose the Huskies over scholarship offers from Oregon State, Iowa State, Fresno State, Nevada, Washington State and Boise State.
In the end, Banks said it came down to Oregon State and Washington, the two places where he made official visits. Banks decided on Friday after Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian and defensive coordinatormet with him at Delta on Monday. Banks can't officially sign a letter of intent until February.
"When I went there I just really liked it," said Banks, who originally committed to Nevada coming out of St. Mary's but never played for the Wolf Pack. "Then the coaches came here and talked with my family, and I decided it was time to be done with the process."
Here is a link with some film of Josh getting all over the quarterback. He has three years to play two and I think he can come in and make an impact this fall.
