The Vegas line for the game is sliding Washington's direction. It opened at 6 points and is now down to 3.5 in Nebraska's favor.

According to Coug Center the writing is on the wall for Paul Wulff and AD Bill Moos has opened Pandora's box on the subject. I wouldn't be surprised if Wulff is gone by game seven or eight, giving the Cougs a head start in finding a replacement.

"The chances are worse than 50-50," Scott said. "I don`t know how to rank it beyond that. At this stage, we`re planning as though they`re coming in in 2012. In other words, we`ve got an 11-team football schedule for next year teed up."

Pac 10 commissioner Larry Scott has penalized the officials who worked the USC-Virginia game for blowing a blocking below the waist call in the second quarter that went against the Cavaliers. With over 11 minute left in the second quarter Virginia punter Jimmy Howell completed a 35 yard pass down to the Trojans 35. The play was negated by an illegal chop block. UVA had to punt the ball.

"The officials recognized the mistake after the fact and apologized to the Virginia coaching staff. We know mistakes are made in games, but we will not tolerate our officials misinterpreting the rules," Scott said. "We believe the reprimand and removal from a future assignment are appropriate."
