The Rising Stars camp at Washington yielded its first commit today with news that LB Scott Lawyer from Oak Grove HS in San Jose announcing his intentions that he wants to be a Husky. Lawyer was recruited by most of the Pac 10 but picked Washington because he fell in love with the University on his visit and his family that lives in the Seattle area. The coaches have him penciled in as an OLB. Lawyer is the 13th commit in the 2011 class.
