Washington at California Game Thread

Here it is, the one you've been waiting for: Washington and California battle it out to prevent post-season elimination in Berkeley this afternoon. As prognosticators go, The Seattle Times' Bud Withers is taking UW. He feels Cal is running on empty emotionally. Bob Condotta thinks Cal has too many tools on defense for the Huskies to outscore a crippled Bear offense. Me...I am going with the Huskies.

Interesting group of games yesterday having BCS implications. Alabama goes ahead of Auburn 24-0 before entering a mistake-induced stall resulting in a 28-27 Auburn victory. The Ducks struggled early with Arizona, trailing at the half 19-14, before Oregon went on a 34-10 binge in the second half to win 49-28.

In a Pac 10 game meaning nothing, it looked like Rick Neuheisel was pulling another rabbit out of his hat as his Bruins were playing well enough to trail 21-20 at the half against ASU. The euphoria didn't last as the Bruins were pounded in the second half in what became a 55-34 Sun Devil victory.

The best game of the day was saved for last, as Boise State ran out to a 24-7 halftime lead over Nevada, only to lose 34-31 in overtime. That loss means the Broncos are headed to bowl game oblivion.

Today will be just as interesting. So if you are not fortunate enough to be in Berkeley pop by the ol' Dawg Pound to comment on the game with usual bunch of suspects while watching.
