Bulletin Board Material

Just wanted to post a quick note that once again we will be doing the time honered tradition of trashing our opponent in the Apple Cup by resorting to the usual childish material I pull out of the closet each year for the game.

To my friends over at Coug Center I apologize in advance.I think the exchange of jokes and ribbing are just as important to this deal as a Turkey at Thanksgiving.

Lets start off with some new stuff supplied by the current squad via Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.

There wasn't a lot of trash talking at today's Apple Cup press luncheon, but Kavario Middleton lobbed one salvo at the Cougars when he said the Huskies plan to score at least 50 points against WSU Saturday.

You can see the clip for yourself courtesy of Q13 Fox in Seattle.

Middleton didn't back down when asked later about his comment, saying that "we want to put up 50 points, run the score up, put on a show. We're just trying to make a statement that we are the real deal.''

"When they are down, we want to keep them down, push them lower,'' Middleton said. "Make it known we are going to be reckoned with.''

It will be interesting to see how Sarkisian handles this one. Coaches in general don't like trash talk before games.  They prefer to let the team do the talking  with performance on the field. I for one think it is nice to see the players show any type of emotion at this stage of the season. Washington is playing for nothing more than respect in this one after the loss to Oregon State. I don't see anything wrong with a little bit of braggadicio as they call it going into this one.

Chances are you have heard the last word from Kavario till Saturday night.
