Mr Butler goes to Washington

Most of us are taking in the inauguration of Barack Obama today on TV. One thing that is encouraging about his first day is the excitement it is creating across the country. Perhaps that excitement can translate into some stability and improvement in the financial markets.

One guy that had to see it all in person for himself was Husky linebacker Donald Butler who was interviewed as a face in the crowd yesterday.

"Everybody's excited," said Donald Butler, 20, a student at the University of Washington. "There are smiling faces everywhere, and it's a nice, diverse crowd. It's history. I didn't think I would see a black president in my generation. I just had to be here."
