Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times brings up the question of how you improve tackling during the season.
"It's one of the trickiest questions college football coaches face — how to improve tackling during a season?
And it's one staring the Washington Huskies right in the eyes after a 44-10 loss at Oregon on Saturday that exposed a dramatic need for improvement."
I may be old fashioned but I think the way you improve tackling during the season is to scrimmage a lot during spring and fall camps. I've seen Don James work on it extensively during some very physical bye weeks. UW has three bye weeks this year and the coaches should use those extra weeks as training camps if the team stays healthy enough.
