The football team has started their own chapter of Uplifting Athletes whose mission is to align rare diseases with college football in order to raise awareness of those diseases that don't get much attention and/or research funding. Football players Michael Kneip, Sifa Tufunga, and Jeff Lindquist are organizing a 'Lift for Life' fundraising event on July 17 to raise awareness for pediatric multiple sclerosis.
