Drumroll everyone!!!! A source says the playoff that will replace the current BCS system will be call the "College Football Playoff." I'm really glad the guys upstairs are doing their homework, and placing themselves on the cutting edge. I suppose this works, since it's supposed to represent a playoff that, theoretically, any of the 120 FBS could qualify for ... But seriously, that's the best they could come up with? Talk about anti-climactic. If I was going to name something that was supposed to revolutionize the way the entire country saw the spectacle that is college football, it most certainly wouldn't be the "College Football Playoff." No. I'd prefer something like "The Gauntlet," or maybe even "The College Pigskin Classic." But I digress, a little.

I don't know if anyone else will be as excited as I am about this, but it is finally starting to look like a football stadium again.
Anyone else as anxious about this as I am? If he decides to play for UW (and that's a massive IF), that decision will obviously have a lasting impact on our basketball program? What are your guys' thoughts on this?
UW football practice over. Sarkisian announces RB Dezden Petty will transfer. More later on UW football blog.

Not a surprise - with Ryan McDaniel appearing to be healthy now and Dwayne Washington moved over from WR, Petty had a lot of competition as the "big RB".

Straight from Tosh's twitter feed - looks like these are the uniform colors & combos we'll see next year.
Official DB 40 times: Darius Slay 4.36, Dee Milliner 4.37, Desmond Trufant 4.38, Steve Williams 4.42, Tyrann Mathieu 4.50. Slay was a star.

We've heard for a few years now that Trufant was the fastest guy on the Huskies, and he showed off that speed today, running an official 4.38 at the NFL Combine. Tru keeps climbing draft charts, and that showing may be enough to solidify him as a 1st rounder.
Desmond Trufant has been catching the attention of NFL scouts for all the right reasons. There is even some talk he could be among the 32 names called on the first day of the Draft.
