According to a release by Wazzu, linebacker C.J. Mizell is not going to be retained. The talented, starting sophomore was arrested for 4th degree assault and criminal trespass. Apparently, he wanted to get into a frat party, and when he was denied entry, Mizell punched the guy several times before fleeing the scene.

This is a BIG statement by Mike Leach. I'd wager a whole lot of Wazzu fans are hoping the rest of the team get the message, or next year is going to be a long one.

I'm not going to lie, Mr. Leaf has no business calling anybody an idiot, except for maybe himself ... which he is. Ted Miller has a great take on Leaf's soundbite.

Can't be a bad sign, right? Interesting that he did so considering he already had an official visit here in September...

It had been thought that Lakes High WR/DB Cedric Dozier would visit Washington this weekend after Husky coaches visited him during the week and said they would now recruit him as a receiver.

But Lakes High coach Dave Miller said tonight that Dozier did not make the trip, saying Dozier "'decided UW was not the place for him.''
