UW coaches were in to visit Coeur D'Alene TE prospect Chase Blakley today, and he gave them some good news. He's the 4th public commit for the 2014 class.
Sometimes one has to rise above college rivalry lines. We supported this last year and shall do so again!
Timberline High DE Don Hill has committed to Washington. He also had offers from Idaho, Washington State, Boise State, Utah and Wyoming.

First, there was this: Woof, woof, woof!!!— Steve Sarkisian (@CoachSark) May 3, 2013 And then this, which seems to explain Sark's woofs: Timberline High DE Don Hill has committed to Washington. According to Condotta, Glenn will get a tryout during a May 9 minicamp. Good luck to him.
Living in Vegas this was all over sports radio Friday. Possibly setting up champ vs champ game to get into the playoffs? Do any of the writers for the site have more intel?
Interesting excerpt from an article by Brian Fremau (one of my all-time favorite College Football analysts). You have to be an ESPN Insider to read the whole article, but IMHO the essential part (the beginning) of it is open to all. I hope Oregon's season this year is consistent with history of elite programs who change coaches, so the Quacks can drop a few games, and we can have a much clearer path to the Rose Bowl. Or is this too much wishful thinking?
Drumroll everyone!!!! A source says the playoff that will replace the current BCS system will be call the "College Football Playoff." I'm really glad the guys upstairs are doing their homework, and placing themselves on the cutting edge. I suppose this works, since it's supposed to represent a playoff that, theoretically, any of the 120 FBS could qualify for ... But seriously, that's the best they could come up with? Talk about anti-climactic. If I was going to name something that was supposed to revolutionize the way the entire country saw the spectacle that is college football, it most certainly wouldn't be the "College Football Playoff." No. I'd prefer something like "The Gauntlet," or maybe even "The College Pigskin Classic." But I digress, a little.

I don't know if anyone else will be as excited as I am about this, but it is finally starting to look like a football stadium again.
Anyone else as anxious about this as I am? If he decides to play for UW (and that's a massive IF), that decision will obviously have a lasting impact on our basketball program? What are your guys' thoughts on this?
