RECRUITING SPACE LEFT

I'm loving how this class is filling out, but i'm wondering just how many Sark can get in this year, 30? I know we will get early enroll's and some grayshirt's but many of our best targets have not even visited yet. I also know there will be some attrition? Anyway's i'm so pumped for Husky football, much love to Dawg Nation. Oh and let's give Sark and crew that fat Contract Extention now!

FSN Northwest: Will they show the BYU game?

Hello! I am living in Bremerton and was just wondering if FSN here will show the game. It seems obvious, but I can find no mention of it. It would make sense to see the 'home' team's games and the only other game starting at that time is the Cougar-Cowboy game that looks to have far less interest in every way. So, any idea? I don't have extended cable options, so any games on channels other than what one could find on the basic cable package will be difficult for me to find.
In the absence of that, does anyone know if someone on Justintv or some other streaming video site plan on showing the game? That is how I watched UW-ASU last year.

Gekko's Three-Putt

The dawn of the new season is upon us, so I thought I'd put up a few issues for discussion.  I had three things I was thinking about today, and I'm not a particularly good golfer, so here is my three-putt for the day.

1.  O-Line

I'm a little jittery over the right side of the o-line.  As much as I love Christine, he and Habben were abused consistently much of the time they were partnered last year.  We didn't start getting production there until Christine was replaced . Let's hope some new continuity has emerged and that another year of growth has helped both men.  I'll be watching that situation closely.

2.  Def End

The DE rotation looks unsteady and really depends on whether or not De'Shon has a senior year break-out.  Kalani's injury looks like it is going to linger and I'm not ready to rely heavily on true freshmen to pick up the slack.  De'Shon is a critical piece for us this year.

3.  Fullback

I'm going to be curious to see what we get out of this position over the season.  Homer filled a role, but had limitations when he was asked to make an offensive play.  Sylvester appears to have similar limitations, but will we see the FB called on as a change of pace on occasion this season, perhaps with some of our other bodies?

New Confrence Alignment Dynasty for 360

I am starting a new dynasty on360 with all of the new confrence alignments...

BYU is independant

Nebraska is in Big 10, sorry Northwestern

New Pac 12 is formed in the Big 12 (North- WSU,UW, OSU, UO, Stan, Cal) (South-Utah, Colorado, USC, UCLA, AZ, ASU)

New Big12 is formed in the Pac 10

New MWC has all future members except SDSU because someone had to go and they suck anyways.

The WAC got screwed just like real life.

Please only people willing to play a game a day, preferably be a team in one of the new confrences. 12 spots available, first come first serve.

Dynasty name is BlairstownOD2

I am Wyoming just for the hell of it, only good gamers play on Heisman so thats how we roll.

The 2010 Husky Football Season as seen from 45,000'

This is your Captain speaking, and if you can't tell, you'll be able to tell shortly, it's been a slow day at work. So, what better thing to do than write about Husky football (don't worry, I'll stick to my day job, there's a reason I fly planes and am not a writer). Here's a quick look at what I see as strengths and weaknesses, and how I think the season will turn out (not that my opinion matters).

Narrative of Husky Stadium remodel

If this is what we really end up with, I couldn't be happier.  I'm certainly not concerned with losing 1,300 seats.  I love the fact that an even higher percentage will now be between the end zones.  This is going to be loud.

The west end entrance and football operations building sounds fantastic.  I love the idea of the glass over the tunnel.

I certainly hope the design includes the ability to add a west upper deck in the future.

BYU Road Trip

I am traveling to Provo from Colorado to watch the Huskies start Locker's heisman campaign.  I was wondering if anyone knew how I could get tickets in the U-Dub section.  Also, will there being any fan events or tailgating areas at the stadium.  Also, is anyone going to the game or has anyone traveled to Provo in the past, that could give me some ideas on how to make the most out of my experience

WOOF!

Interesting comment from Locker on ESPN.

Washington quarterback Jake Locker may be the odds-on favorite to be the first player selected in the 2011 NFL draft. But in the course of discussing playing both quarterback and safety at Ferndale (Wash.) High, Locker told me, “If I had it to do over again, I’d play defense. I like the contact. You can use your adrenaline. On offense, you have to control it.”

Ivan Maisel's Three Point Stance

We've all heard the "Locker to safety" stuff for years.  But when you look at how big Jake is as a QB, the fact of the matter is that if he would've come here to play defense, he'd probably be 240 and one helluva middle linebacker right now.
