It was a big day for Husky basketball on early signing day, with no surprise flips from the high-level recruiting class, headlined by five-star Michael Porter Jr.
The total class was five players: Porter Jr., four-stars Daejon Davis (who just recommitted to Washington two days ago) and Jaylen Nowell, Blake Harris, and Mamadou Diarra.
Porter will almost assuredly just be a Husky for a single year before bolting to the NBA. He is regarded just as highly as Markelle Fultz in NBA circles and is projected as a top-five pick. Davis and Nowell are athletic shooting guard prospect, both with the ability to get to the rim at will and Nowell has a reliable three-point shot.
Harris is a true point guard, ranked as a four-star by ESPN and three-star elsewhere. Mamoudou Diarra follows Aziz N’Diaye as a big man out of Senegalm though Diarra is 6’9. He seems the most likely of the group to sit out a redshirt season.
It is another big recruiting class, part of a big amount of buzz among recruits. Daejon Davis summed it up when he recommitted:
Daejon Davis: "I saw what was happening with Washington. I would have really messed up if I wasn't a part of this."

Things are looking up for the Huskies, at least on one front.
