UW Baseball vs. Georgia Tech Game Thread

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Come cheer on the UW baseball team as it takes on Georgia Tech in first game of the college baseball world series.

UPDATE: Friday's game against Georgia Tech has been cancelled due to weather. Rescheduled for Saturday at 11 AM PT.

The University of Washington baseball team will kick off its postseason with a matchup against Georgia Tech in the first game of the regional championship at the College Baseball World Series at 1pm.

The game will not be showed on TV but can be watched on ESPN3 or on WREK Radio.

Junior Tyler Davis will take the mound for the Huskies, who  was selected as second team All-American and first team All-Pac-12 this week. Davis holds a 10-2 record and 1.75 ERA. His 54 strikeouts are second best on the UW staff and opponents are hitting just .241 against Davis this year.

At the plate the Huskies are lead by Brian Wolfe, Andrew Ely, and Austin Rei, who all were All-Pac-12 selections in 2014. Wolfe, a senior from Snohomish H.S., batted a team-leading .361 on the season, good enough for second in the Pac-12.
