Myles Gaskin out of O'Dea HS in Seattle is ranked a top 300 player, a 4 star recruit and the #29 tailback in the 2015 class. 247 has him as a 3* and the #34 back in the country. He came up to campus for the junior day just following signing day, and the visit went well for him, giving him the confidence to jump into the UW boat pretty early in the cycle.
UW was the first offer for Gaskin (under the previous staff, and the new staff kept it extended), and he had also gotten offers from Washington State and Arizona State most recently. The Oregon schools were also coming after him, and may still extend offers in the coming months.
Gaskin is a pretty solid commitment, being an O'Dea kid, and he has expressed that playing close to home is extremely important to him. He was always UW's to lose, but it's still nice to see the staff close on a top local kid (again). Fence!
His commitment is the second for the 2015 class, joining OL Trey Adams from Wenatchee.
