Naijiel Hale commits to Washington; Budda Baker next?

247 sports

The son of late rapper Nate Dogg has committed to play his college ball at the University of Washington. He has also put his efforts into recruiting Bellevue (Wash.) DB Budda Baker to UW.

Huskies fans may want to put something like this on repeat after the most recent commitment to the Huskies. The son of Nate Dogg, U.S. Army All-American Naijiel Hale, has committed to play for Washington. Hale hails from St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, Calif.

The 2014 corner is somebody that the UW coaching staff has recruited hard ever since the move from Boise State. Originally, Hale had committed to the University of Arizona  but the Wildcats dropped him once he decided to re-open his commitment.

Different recruiting sites have him listed as either a three star or four star player. Should he be listed as a four star cornerback:

Hale is 5'11" and 170 pounds. He has a 40-yard dash time of 4.79 seconds. Scout.com's profile says that he has smooth hips, which is obviously ideal for a cornerback.

He is a good grab for the Huskies in his own right, but he isn't done with his affect in he recruiting game: he is going to push hard for the potential jewel of this recruiting class in Budda Baker (Bellevue, Wash.). Baker decommitted from Oregon in January and many believe UW and UCLA are the only teams still in the running for the top recruit in the state of Washington.

UPDATE: Baker has already made his decision.
