Featured Fanpost: Keith Price Gets No Respect

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

College offenses have changed over the years and there is no real way to make truly meaningful comparisons in the statistics of a QB from 30 year ago to today. Heck, the same could probably said of a QB from 10 years ago. But with all that said, there are certain things you want your QBs to do (complete passes, gain yardage, throw TDs) and certain things you don't want them to do (throw interceptions).

So while Keith Price is certainly playing in a system that asks him to do really different things from what Warren Moon or even Jake Locker was asked to do, I still think the career stats of each of the UW's notable QBs contain some worthwhile information.

The table below lays things out. I sorted it in terms of NCAA Passer Rating, which isn't perfect, but is still relevant. I aslo highlighted the leader in each category with bold. Price has a lot of bold to his name. Obviously this doesn't include contributions in the run game, or fumbles. Rushing was certainly an important part of what Locker, Tui and Brunell brought to the table. A noted and vocal Keith Price critic is at the bottom of the table with a 105.0 career rating and a TD:Interception ratio of less than 1:2.
