Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend. This is after months of preparation and telling myself there is no way I'm missing this opener! A couple of factors played into this, 1) I have a few friends that were planning on coming up from Boise, the same friends that came the last time this team came up and I guaranteed them a loss for their Broncos. They decided to stay home, I told them it's probably for the better since history will repeat itself. 2) Single game tickets were sold out quickly, this wasn't an unforeseen problem as I was prepared for that and willing to pay the triple face value costs of such an event, but wow, the prices are STEEP! 3) Cheerleader pictures for my daughter happens to be at 6:30 pm on August 31st.... you have to be kidding me with this... you have to be! So, the wife and I sat down and decided there seems to be forces unseen working against us at this point and we will instead have Dawgs and Broncos over to the house and all celebrate the opener. So, I'm writing this to live vicariously through you guys. What are your plans for that day? Are you tailgating for 8 hours? Taking the boat? What are you most anxious to see at the new stadium(other than the game)? Are you willing to take my daughter to cheerleader pictures so I can go to the game? Kind of kidding there... kind of.
