Seattle Times' Pay to Read Policy

Until the Seattle Times demonstrates to our satisfaction that advertizing online and for print editions won't pay the freight, I see no reason for Dawg Pound fans to pony up and pay the exorbitant fees the Times charges for news.

In the meantime, I call on fans to unsubscribe. We have enough alternate sources of news right here and elsewhere on the net. Call the Times' bluff until their readership numbers tank enough that they lose advertizing revenues enough to change policy or at least drastically reduce rates. They're taking advantage of having the only horse in the race after the Seattle Post Intelligencer virtually gave up.
