Within 12 hours Scott Woodward, UW's athletics director, has gone from losing his head football coach to offering another man the job. Jim Mora is mulling over the offer and a decision could be made as soon as Tuesday morning (via FootballScoop).
Steve Sarkisian accepted a five-year contract at the school where he was an assistant for two separate stints. Many felt that it was the job that he had always wanted.
Mora has spent the last two season at UCLA, and has compiled a 12-6 record against the Pac-12. He also won the head-to-head matchup with Sarkisian's Huskies this season. Mora spent one season in Seattle as the head coach of the Seahawks after several seasons as an assistant.
Anthony already ran down the pros and cons of Mora being hired as the head coach.
In 2006 Jim Mora stated on a Seattle radio show that UW would be his "dream job." He now has a chance.
Several of our staff, including myself, have said that we would like Mora to be the head coach. Now, he has the chance to make it happen.
