It has been 3689 days since the Huskies beat the Beavers in Corvallis, and barring a total meltdown, the Huskies will end that streak tonight.
Marcus Peters and Bishop Sankey have been the stars of the first half. Peters has been matched up against All American candidate Brandin Cooks, and completely shut him down. Cooks has 5 catches, but just 38 yards and Peters has picked off two Sean Mannion passes. Sankey, meanwhile has shredded OSU's run defense to the tune of 158 yards (8.3 per carry) and two touchdowns.
Cyler Miles, in his first career start, has been more than serviceable. He's doing what he needs to to keep the offense moving and keep putting points on the board. He's 10/19 for 137 and 1 TD, 6 carries for 19 yards, and importantly has made very few mistakes. And even more importantly, his mistakes have not been capitalized upon by OSU.
The defense as a whole has been completely dominant, forcing 5 punts and two interceptions.
The offense has ended 5 of 8 drives in scores.
The special teams has a big return, good coverage, and Travis Coons has pinned Oregon deep in their own territory all game.
Dominance in all three phases. It's fun to watch.
Second half begins soon.
Go Huskies.
