Week 1 is already in the books, it's just like college football to throw us a few surprises! If you are surprised that I got this update out so quickly, well so am I. I'll try to get them out as quickly as possible each week, but my schedule can get busy in a hurry, so I'll try my best. Either way, the beauty of using Yahoo is you can go check your results each morning after games have been played.

THE WEEKLY AWARDS:

The Perfect Dawgs - Awarded to those who had a perfect score in the current week:

NONE In either category. What a bunch of slackers. You guys played much like the Huskies, started off great, then got full of yourselves and played half assed for the rest of the game. Next week is a new week, try and focus for the WHOLE game.

The Weekly Top Dawgs - Awarded to the top performers of the week (could be very similar to The Perfect Dawgs):

Straight Up: Congrats to muddy_dawg, Czarcasm, hairofthedawg, Carne Guisada, Harry the Husky, KrakenEater, MD Sixkiller, rjocr427, shootdawg and of course kirkd. All of which scored 6 points.

Against the Spread: Congrats to Russian Prince, Serragon, and Ben Nice. The only three (out of 70) participants to score 5 points against the spread.

The Weekly Runts of the litter - Awarded to the guys who Coug'd it and had the lowest score this week:

Straight Up & Against the Spread - Seen as how this is week one, I'll be kind and leave out the runts of the week. But, be warned, this is football, we have winners and losers. if you think everybody should get a trophy for participating, I highly recommend a different sport, like soccer.

Going Against The Pack Award - Awarded to the individuals who went against the vast majority AND were correct.

Straight Up - Only muddy_dawg and Trenchtown were smart enough and brave enough to pick Nevada to beat Cal. Well done gentlemen, well done.

Against the Spread - The trends were pretty well balance. We'll see if next week is as well spread out.
