Updated 8:18PM: The 8th seeded Bucknell Bison have just defeated the 1st seeded Arizona Wildcats 65-54. Fictional sources reporting that Arizona is pursuing a young, untested head-coaching candidate named Lute Olson to replace the bewildered Sean Miller. Meanwhile, California has lost to USF by 11 points after scoring 13 points in the first half and allowing the Bulls to shoot nearly 57.1% for the game. Uncomfirmed reports place missing guard Jorge Gutierrez entering the Dayton UPS store (presumed to be returning Pac-12 POY trophy to conference offices).
Halftime: The California Golden Bears and the Arizona Wildcats are making the best of their opportunities to represent the Pac-12 Conference on the national stage with South Florida man-handling Cal 36-13 in the first half. California hasn't scored a point in the last 9 & 1/4 minutes. Arizona, a #1 seed in the NIT, is currently trailing the vaunted Bucknell Bison 32-26 at halftime at Arizona. Although the Pac-12 went 4-0 on Tuesday night the eyes of the country will be on California and Colorado to produce results in the Big Dance. Washington is without a doubt the top team of the conference but this season that counts for about as much as Boise State beating up on the WAC did in football all those years. Unfortunately with a conference this bad and an atrocious non-conference showing we can only hope that our team plays several weeks longer and takes full advantage of the extra practice time.
