I hope we don't play to the level of our opponents again.

This is one team in the conference that we really can’t lose to.

Go Dawgs!!!

Let’s keep 1st in the PAC all to ourselves

Slow-mo ball

Teams such as USC with there deliberate offense and the propensity to slow the game down are the antithesis to what the Huskies want to do. With a team as young as this, I fear they won’t impose their will and style of play on the Trojans and will be forced to play in a half court slugfest and make this game much closer than it should be. Gaddy is the key to pushing the pace and getting the ball out in transition with Wroten hurting.

Kemp showing moves there

I really hope he can be shaped in to something special down the line

by kschimke on Feb 4, 2012 8:22 PM PST reply actions

No dice

need to install spyware. I did anyway because I wipe my HD every month, but it doesn’t work.

by B Money on Feb 4, 2012 8:30 PM PST up reply actions

Works fine

Just use stream torrent. Once you have it, get it from anywhere, then just click on the second link, then stream torrent loads, wait for a couple minutes while it loads the game. I am watching it now via this method. I DLed stream torrent months ago. You don’t have to get it from their location.

by Joehusky on Feb 4, 2012 8:34 PM PST up reply actions

BTW

It will say it isn’t working, but just let it sit there for a few minutes, it will work eventually.

by Joehusky on Feb 4, 2012 8:35 PM PST up reply actions

Hmm

I’ve had mine trying to connect for about 10 minutes. I’m watching UFC instead.

by B Money on Feb 4, 2012 8:38 PM PST up reply actions

I love Ernie Kent's comment.

“USC would be right in this one if they could just score a little bit.”

by SacramentoSeahawk on Feb 4, 2012 8:30 PM PST reply actions

Excellent analysis

That is why they pay him the big bucks

by kschimke on Feb 4, 2012 8:31 PM PST up reply actions

I'm starting to see why USC is 1-9 in conference

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by cdlewey on Feb 4, 2012 8:33 PM PST reply actions

Can we not have a 10 minute break after every 2 minutes of play?

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by cdlewey on Feb 4, 2012 8:49 PM PST reply actions

He's got a lot of want-to in him.

Makes him easy to like. He’s def got the build and wheels for it.

by Hawnk on Feb 4, 2012 9:24 PM PST up reply actions

He's getting there.

For all the talk about how bad the Pac-12 is this year,I’ve seen a lot of serious pounding going on in the paint. If you drive to the hoop, you’re usually going to get knocked on your ass, or take a fore-arm to your face.

by Hawnk on Feb 4, 2012 9:30 PM PST up reply actions

How do we only have 38 pts?

Is usc using the full shot clock every time?

by Harry the Husky on Feb 4, 2012 9:27 PM PST reply actions

That's their game

a lot like Wisconsin or Bennett ball…except they don’t play good defense…and they don’t make use of their possessions very well. So exactly the opposite of Bennett ball and Wisconsin.

by B Money on Feb 4, 2012 9:31 PM PST up reply actions

Aziz is a foul magnet

Not bad I suppose when USC only has 6 real players.

by kschimke on Feb 4, 2012 9:33 PM PST reply actions

I know we don't have much experience holding a wide lead for a long tim

But can we try to calm down when we have the ball at least? Seems we are a little out of control all the time. It is good AND bad sometimes.

by kschimke on Feb 4, 2012 9:38 PM PST reply actions

vaguely topical

what do people think of tonight’s Seattle Times story? short version; some hedge fund guy and the city are in deep talks about developing the area south of Safeco into a NBA/NHL-maybe arena. I dunno about having three stadiums next to one another, maybe it could work.

by Will Kier on Feb 4, 2012 9:40 PM PST reply actions

I am still pissed off at the NBA

I don’t know if i can muster the energy to care about a team that we steal from some other terrible market.

by kschimke on Feb 4, 2012 9:42 PM PST up reply actions

Aren't the Coyotes owned by the NHL right now?

It looks like the City of Sacramento is moving forward right now on a new arena. But I wouldn’t mind seeing them in Seattle. I’m sure IT wouldn’t mind it either.

by SacramentoSeahawk on Feb 4, 2012 9:44 PM PST up reply actions

I never understood why the NHL never put a major team in Seattle

Vancouver’s just a few hours away up I-5, and a natural rival. But, noooooooo, the NHL put teams in places that don’t even freeze in the winter. And they wonder why that league is on life support.

by Cad on Feb 4, 2012 10:04 PM PST up reply actions

is it? I thought the NHL was doing decent

not gangbusters, but ok. with some…cryptic…decision making dragging them down.

by Will Kier on Feb 4, 2012 10:06 PM PST up reply actions

Blame the Ackermans for that

they deliberately made it non-hockey friendly when they renovated the Coliseum. They didn’t want competition for their Sonics product. It was one of the most shortsighted and idiotic business decisions ever.

by B Money on Feb 6, 2012 12:14 PM PST up reply actions

Shared infrastructure is handy.

Light rail, parking, freeway access (finally rounding into shape), restaurants, hotels. Avoiding the scheduling of simultaneous games is a minor hassle.

by Hawnk on Feb 4, 2012 9:45 PM PST up reply actions

infrastructure makes sense

I was thinking of the perils of scheduling potentially 5 teams, but of course they’re not all playing the same season

by Will Kier on Feb 4, 2012 9:49 PM PST up reply actions

Sounders, Sonics, M's, Coyotes would all overlap at some point

but Sounders/M’s would be the toughest one, and they don’t share a stadium.

by B Money on Feb 4, 2012 9:53 PM PST up reply actions

Philadelphia

Philly has all the new arenas right next to each other. It actually looks good and I would imagine it works very well with the shared infrastructure. I

Why can't we play USC every week?

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by cdlewey on Feb 4, 2012 9:55 PM PST reply actions

If we win the tourny yeah

I am just saying, if we don’t, we will need 14 wins probably. It is a good number to shoot for here

by kschimke on Feb 4, 2012 9:59 PM PST up reply actions

Only automatic for tourney winner

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by cdlewey on Feb 4, 2012 10:00 PM PST up reply actions

In a 68 team field?

You can’t tell me that the Pac-12 doesn’t warrant at least 2 bids, AT MINIMUM. I don’t care how bad they look. And yes, this year they do look bad.

by Hawnk on Feb 4, 2012 10:06 PM PST up reply actions

That is VERY much what I want to believe.

I’ll be hugely disappointed if Pac gets snubbed that badly.

by HuskyInExile on Feb 4, 2012 10:08 PM PST up reply actions

Too many fancy athletes.

Yeah, they started out horrible, but there a lot of talented kids in this conference. And Romar has the most of all.

by Hawnk on Feb 4, 2012 10:11 PM PST up reply actions

2 teams so far

Cal and Washington are the only 2 so far that warrant a look for at large bids according to every projection. A team like Stanford or Arizona would have to win the Pac-12 tourney to get in. Our out of conference record is pretty ugly when you look at it.

by CgHawk360 on Feb 4, 2012 10:09 PM PST up reply actions

It is ugly. I can't begin to explain it.

I’m sure they’re better than they’ve looked.

by Hawnk on Feb 4, 2012 10:12 PM PST up reply actions

We can't tell you anything

but some schmuck back east could pump the merits of Villanova playing in a tough conference.

by B Money on Feb 6, 2012 12:16 PM PST up reply actions

OK, stop running up the score

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by cdlewey on Feb 4, 2012 10:02 PM PST reply actions

why? if Romar's being a good guy and emptying the bench, why can't they play?

It’s USC’s problem if they are so short handed that the guys they have to play are gassed.
I mean really, it is U$C; they could pump up their BB program if they wanted to.

by HuskyInExile on Feb 4, 2012 10:07 PM PST up reply actions

I know, I was half-kidding when I posted that comment

I just thought it was funny that the two walk-ons were still hustling down the court with 8 seconds left

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

can a game ever truly be over?

even when the clock reads 0:00, the battle to achieve true physical superiority has no end.

also, yes.
