The final results have been tallied and the 2011 PAC12 Pick 'em Champion is . . . . . (insert drum roll) . . . . . kirkd!!!
Right about know you are asking, "but I thought we had two categories", you are correct. For the first time in the history of the contest (2nd year) we have a dual champion. Kirkd won both the Straight Up category and the Against the Spread category. Being that this is the end of our "season", I thought I'd take it upon myself to hand out a few additional awards.
Champion - Straight Up: kirkd
Champion - Against the Spread: kirkd
Perfect Attendance Award - Presented to those who picked every game: John Berkowitz, Gekko Mojo.
I Beat Vegas Award - Present to everyone who was better than .500 Against the Spread: kirkd, JohnnyCougar, CAHusky, SeaHuskies, B Money, hairofthedawg, John Berkowitz, Lear Pilot.
The True Dawg Award - Presented to anybody who keeps a fan of the Cougars or Ducks from winning our contest: kirkd (for keeping Johnny Cougar from winning the Against the Spread category, even if only by .001)
The 2011 Washington Husky Imitation Award (aka The Dual Personality Award) - Presented to those who do great on one side of the ball, but give up tons of yards on the other side of the ball: Bob Condotta - He should get a raise for his performance in the Straight Up category, but should be fired for how he plays Against the Spread
The 2011 Washington State Cougar Imitation Award: Present to the person who had a disappointing season, but closed out the season with a bang: Lear Pilot, John Berkowitz
The Oregon Duck Award - Presented to the person who did the most talking, but still came in second place: Gekko Mojo
The Nick Holt Award - Present to the person who gave up the most "yards" in a category: Crazidawg (Straight Up and Against the Spread), Bob Condotta (Against the Spread)
That's it for this year, it's never to early to start our off season conditioning to prepare for next years contest. GO DAWGS.
