Big weekend for Washington Basketball. Washington finds themselves in third place at 4-1 after what I called their best half of the season against WSU. Cal and Stanford come in this weekend tied for first place. Winning both games would put Washington is sole possession of first place and in the drivers seat for the conference championship. This is the only time we play the Bay area schools this year. The only other two teams we only play once are the Rocky Mountain schools.
I was going to do more of a preview for the games this weekend but with all the coaching and recruiting news, my mind is all football right now. Then again, with the takeover initiated by ATQ, writing this without interference of the clucks is therapeautic. And is keeping me from crossing a blog line that I certainly walked right up to over the past 15 minutes.
Standing, Schedules and more after the jump.
Being at home the huskies have a real chance of winning both these games. Just like the have a real chance of losing two when they head to Oregon in a few weeks. That being said I see them winning one game. And hopefully WSU will helps us out buying beating whichever team we lose too or both. The most likely team to beat us is California. And we play them first on Thursday at 5:30 PST. The game is televised on root. Cal is probably the best team in the conference.
UDub will likely be without sharpshooter CJ Wilcox all weekend and may not even be ready for the trip to Arizona next week with a stress fracture in his femur. He will be missed. But if Ross can have another half of game like he had last Sunday the dawgs will be alright.
