Good game, Huskies
Sorry the refs screwed you over a few times...it happens. We dealt with it big time last year, so in some regards it was a bit refreshing to have ridiculous calls going our way for once...but still it is always better football when it's called evenly. Any Nebraska fan who is reasonable would admit that the reffing was effing awful (look, I rhymed!). I'm pretty sure that crew just sucked all the way around, and they happened to really screw it up on some calls that obviously helped the Huskers.
It's hard to know for sure how much those calls effected the outcome. You could argue that the 3rd quarter meltdown on your end wouldn't have happened if you had been ahead. But you could also argue that the 4th quarter meltdown wouldn't have happened for us if we had been behind. Unless you can find one of these there's no way to ever know.
As for that 4th quarter...wow I almost developed an ulcer! I kept thinking you guys were put away and you'd just quit fighting and start playing some back-ups...but then 1 to 3 plays later you had a chance again. That's awesome. Your team has some real heart and apparently our guys thought they had the game won and could just take it easy in the 4th quarter. I think that 4th quarter benefited both teams tremendously. Your squad was reminded to never give up and learned that they have what it takes to come back against great teams, and our squad was reminded once again that football games are 60 minutes long, and you have to play hard every minute of it.
You've got a good team this year, and I think it's definitely better than last year. Keith Price is a fine quarterback, and in time I think he'll be better than Jake Locker, partially due to a better supporting cast. You're easily the 3rd best team in the Pac-12 this year in my opinion, and I think you're headed for 8 or 9 wins. Good game, way to keep fighting, and maybe we'll see you in a bowl game again sometime soon (preferably the Rose Bowl!).

Thanks Billgrip
As much as the focus tends to be put on the bad calls, it really was a pretty solid game from both teams (offensively, at least). I’m not ready to put us in the top 3 in the conference without a major improvement on D, but thanks for the vote of confidence. I think we got some really good game experience against a quality opponent in Lincoln. Hopefully that will pay dividends as we head into conference play. Good luck in Big 10 play!
I hope we play again in the future
I appreciate Nebraska fans – very knowledgeable about football, very courteous and well-mannered. I look forward to Sark reviving the Husky program and scheduling another home/away series with you guys in the next 5-15 years.
Outstanding fansmanship!
When the game was over, I wasn’t thinking UW got chumped by the refs. I was thinking “Wow, Nebraska is the real deal.” I can’t wait to see Big Red and Wisconsin this weekend. While I’m certainly a rabid Dawg fan, I’m expecting great things from Neb in the Big 10. For the past 2 years I’ve been stuck in Ann Arbor, Michigan having to listen to “Wolverine this & Wolverine that.” I hope Big Red comes into the Big House next month and beats-down the Wolves! Fight-on, my Big 10 brothers in Red!
