Jeremy Castro commits to UW
Sark gets a big commitment today as 4-star DE/OLB Jeremy Castro picks the Huskies. Apparently he was a strong lean to Oregon until the Willie Lyles mess, and he decided he didn't want to get stuck on a team that will probably be hit with sanctions.
He's apparently been told by UW coaches that they see him in a stand-up DE role, the one that Josh Shirley currently occupies.

Great pickup.
The Dawgs have been stockpiling guys that sort of fit that DE/OLB hybrid role. Almost like they’re building their defense around that type of position. Hopefully, they’ve identified some guys that are true outside linebackers as well…
The situation with the Ducks could play out like this with a number of guys. Garnett and Banner most notably. If things change in the Ducks’ favor in the next 6 months, it might be tough to hold on to Castro, not to mention some of the other guys…
Maybe they're promising them
guaranteed employment with the Seahawks when they graduate.

Damn, my eyeball tastes good.
@chrislandon
the chips are starting to fall
“Oregon was leading early on for me but I started to feel more comfortable with Washington and felt like it was a better fit for me. I had some concerns about Oregon, it seems like they could be getting in trouble soon and honestly, they haven’t been recruiting me very hard and haven’t been returning my calls. The UW coaches talk to me all the time and made me feel like a priority and that meant a lot to me as well.”
