great news!
Way to get the ball rolling – Lindquist can now turn his attention towards helping recruit his offensive linemen. I’d expect him to be talking with Josh Garnett and Zach Banner and making sure he gets those guys in the fold.
Agreed.
Want to be a great QB? Get some great linemen to protect your backside!

domino theory
Not only does Lindquist committing start the domino effect on the other top West Coast QBs, it will hopefully be the trigger to get more guys seriously considering the Huskies to make the call for the UW.
The Honks...
…also mentioned Bern Brostek’s son. He’s not even in state, so I’m thinking his Dad is pointing him the right direction…;O)

for sure
The Brosteks aren’t much for publicity, so he’s a little under the radar in that regard, but college coaches are all over him. I don’t know when Shane will pull the trigger, but I’ll be extremely disappointed if he doesn’t commit to the UW.
The Honks...
…mentioned Garnett and Banner too. Are they like the other two premier recruits in the state of Washington? If I understand correctly the state is loaded this year. Who are the other guys?

they are the tops
Other highly regarded in-state guys are RB Keivarae Russell, WR/DB Michael Rector, OL Nathan Dean, OL Walker Williams, DB Cedric Dozier and DB Tyler Hasty. There are some additional guys a little lower on the pecking order that will probably get D-1 offers too.
Trent Sewell is another guy
lanky WR from Bothell HS. Scout has him and Rector neck and neck, I’d like to see them take both because they could both change positions if needed, and they’re both pretty athletic.
NICE!!!
The Huskies just got a QB who can help bring in some great OL talent.
The Seahawks just got some OL talent that can help save any QB they get.

Couldn't agree more
Love the OL help, don’t even care that I haven’t heard of either of them.
Love getting a top tier QB, especially a local kid too.
QB
Can you have too many. Huskies are loading up at all positions. Next year they will have a dilemna most coaches would dream of. Right in our own back yard:
Skyline- Max Browne
Bellarmine-Sefo Liufau
Huskies get snubbed on spring game TV. Oregon live????

You need to take the best one you can get every single year. If you just look at the Dawgs over the last 20 years, more often than not at least two different guys have started games in the same season.
I’d love to get either of those two guys next year, but Browne in particular.
yep
You take one (and just one) H.S. QB every year. Every once in a while, you take a good JC QB if you are low on depth. And given the quality of guys Sark is after, you’re probably going to see some guys transfer.
The more I think about it, the more challenging I think it may be to get Browne for 2013 – if Derrick Brown impresses in Fall Camp, Max might have second thoughts about whether he wants to battle Brown and Lindquist.
That said, as excited as I am that we got Lindquist, I think Browne is an even better prospect – it’s not out of the question that Browne could pass both of those guys within a year of arriving.

I guess I really don’t think Lidquist or Brown will impact what Browne does too much. It seems that elite prospects, of which Browne will likely be one, are rarely turned off by depth charts and competition. There’s more than enough ego even in the most humble of prospects to think that he’s going to beat out the guys ahead of him. And more than any other position on the field, I think QB recruits come in with the expectation that they aren’t going to play right away. Realistically, Browne isn’t going to know much about Brown or Lindquist when he’s making his college choice; one of the two will be running the scout team, and the other will be getting 3rd-string reps.
I think the bigger factor is going to be what happens with Price and Montana this season. Sarkisian did well with QB’s at USC (but that’s USC), and Locker sort of fell into his lap, so he’s going to have to prove that he can take a young guy and make him an above-the-mean Pac 12 QB. If the primary starter exceeds his modest expectations, that’ll show something pretty important about Sarkisian and Nussmeier. I do think that showing too much QB running might turn Browne off to the UW; he’s not a statue, but he’s no Price, Brown, or Lindquist. Even Montana is a lot more mobile than Browne has shown (although that’s almost certain to improve as he develops physically).
I agree with you about Browne, though. I think there’s a very, very good chance that he’s going to be the better prospect.
You think it helped a little
that Sark basically turned Jake Locker into a high first round draft pick?
Great, great news!
First Round Wishlist (in order): 1. Mark Ingram; 2. Mike Pouncey; 3. Jimmy Smith; 4. Jake Locker
Other rounds: Rodney Hudson, Justin Houston, Owen Marecic, Ras-I Dowling, Joseph Barksdale, Tyler Sash, Shareece Wright, and Taiwan Jones.
WOO! HOO!
GO DAWGS!! That is going to be a huge momentum swing for recruiting. AWESOME news!

Keith Price
He got kind of a slow start but was really impressive the rest of the way. Of course going against our #1 defense is tough. Montana seemed to have more early success and less later. He did finish strong however. I was impressed how quickly Price got the ball out. I can’t remember who said he had a slow release but he must have been watching someone else. Not that he has the outright gun that Locker had but he is very quick and athletic. That last run for a TD he made was impressive off of that bootleg play. One thing I don’t like about him is that he is so slender. He needs to put on some muscle. Montana looks bigger and stronger to me.
I was listening to the Honks on the pregame and they said that Price was probably the “quickest” QB the Huskies have ever had. Obviously Locker would beat him in a foot race but just based on quickness. The guy is extremely athletic but again my concern is his size and lack of muscle. Hopefully Ivan “the terrible” will gradually put some muscle on the kid.
