2011 Football Schedule
I was looking at the home schedule and it looks pretty good except for the first two games. I usually always attend the home opener but with Eastern coming in I might not. Hawaii looks pretty lame too. I'm looking forward to Colorado, Oregon and the Apple Cup. I actually renewed both of my Tyee Purple tickets because a coworker stepped up and bought my other ticket. I even bought the parking pass, him and I split it. Now we just have to buy our "separate" Apple Cup tickets. I'm excited for Spring Ball and hopefully the Spring game will have better weather than last year.
Who is coming in early for spring ball and has anyone heard how Tokolahi is doing with his rehab? Thanks and GO DAWGS!!

I am excited too
I think next years team will be better than most people think.
UW Dawg Pound - SBN Seattle
Agreed John
I think it’s mainly because Locker is gone but that offense is looking good. Whoever starts at QB is going to be surrounded with talent. How do we look at the FB position? I think who ever is lead blocking for Polk is a key position.
On the defensive side Mason Foster is going to be tough to replace but I like the emerging young talent we have coming up. I think having an experienced and smart player at middle linebacker (Cort Dennison) will help the transition of the Husky defense as it moves forward.
Special Teams should be deeper and more experienced. We have Folk back and now have two solid punters returning. I think our return game is going to much better too. The whole talent base of this team is getting better. I also love the fact that we’re in year three with Sark and Company working in this offense and defense. Not to mention “Ivan The Terrible’s” training system.

From Bob Condotta: "there will be three new players available for the spring - tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins and defensive end/linebacker Jarett Finau, who each signed letters-of-intent in February, and walk-on quarterback Thomas Vincent of King’s High School. There will be no other early spring enrollees.
DT Semisi Tokolahi, who suffered a broken and dislocated ankle against Washington State, is still out. "He’s come a long way,‘’ Sarkisian said. "But any time you have that kind of an injury it just takes time. So he’ll still be out.‘’ Sarkisian said they are "hopeful’’ he may be able to make it back to participate in some drills in the spring at some point but that remains unclear. "
Also check out his blog for updates on other players in todays(3/18) Seattle Times husky blog.
Sounds pretty good...
…for Tokolahi. I was afraid he might not play next season. I’ll be optimistic and hopefully at some point next season we’ll see him playing. He was becoming a force last season and he really looked good next to Tamu.

Apple Cup
I guess I’ll buy the best tickets I can and hope I get the area (s) I want. What are the levels at Qwest that are under cover?

Eastern and Hawaii are not as bad as you might think.
Covets: Mark Ingram, Marcell Dareus, Prince Amukamara, Rodney Hudson, and Owen Marecic.
and those early games normally have the best weather.

Hawaii's qb is actually pretty good. He had a terrible game vs tulsa in their bowl game though.
His Stats for the year were impressive and they did score points vs USC.
The University of Utah is off to the Pac-12 Conference and will be in the South Division. Hopefully we will get to the first ever Pac-12 Championship Game. Jon " Bones " Jones new light heavyweight champion. Even if jones got struck flush in the face he would recover and defeat whoever is in front of him. I told everyone the fight would be easy. Almost felt sorry for Rua. Anderson Silva would never fight "Bones".

That
Might be my road trip from Denver. Got friends and family there. Or might do LIncoln. Went to the BYU game last year. Cant wait for CU in 2012.
Vincent
I’ve seen Thomas Vincent play a few HS games this past year, he’s pretty good. As far as his career goes, do you guys think he’ll see any time under center? I mean, we’ve got Price, Montana, maybe someone like Lindquist…so what do you guys think?
Saw him play a little today
Has potential, not bad for a walk on freshmen, but it will take a miracle or some really, really bad luck to see him in a game.

Yeah, I don't think he'll get there
but stranger things have happened, and by all accounts he’s a hard worker and a good kid…so who knows.
