Suggs to Redshirt

PrintScott Suggs has decided to redshirt his Senior year. He had more pain in practice this week and was not ready to return to the lineup.
Rather than miss half of his final year, he will come back and do it again next year. Suggs was thought to be a key to this team this year. It appears Wilcox and Ross have stepped in and done a great job scoring. Suggs leadership and defense will still be missed.

classic good news/bad news
Bad news for this year’s team – they’re going to miss the steadying presence and significant ability Suggs would have provided, but great for next year’s team.
Unsure how to Feel
Next year – this is going to help the team a lot, Suggs coming back will be a boon for next years team.
As for this year – DAMN IT – we have talent but we need leadership and a steadying presence which Suggs would provide. This isn’t the end of the world, we have a lot of people who can step up in a big way but we need them to start doing so now.
I trust Romar to make things work but this team has way too much talent to waste on a mediocre season which so far we seem headed towards unless we improve dramatically in several areas which have been killing us thus far. We can improve, but now we need to do so.
Roast Duck is a delicacy.
