Around SBN: Despite Relocation Drama, Coyotes Overcome Adversity

The Washington Huskies announced senior co-captain Scott Suggs will undergo surgery this afternoon to repair a fracture in his right foot. He's expected to miss 8-12 weeks.

According to the release, Suggs felt discomfort in his foot Tuesday and underwent test that confirmed a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot.

ugh

We have a lot of depth at the wing spots, but it’s still too bad – Suggs just hasn’t had a lot of luck with his health.

Huh?

His health has been fine. Only a couple minor things in his career til now.

OK

Maybe “not a lot of luck” was over-stating it, but he did miss 4 games last year, and it felt at the time like he lost a bit of momentum from the injury and it took him a bit to get back on track.

Well if there's one position that's got depth

Just please, PLEASE, no injuries to any of the big guys!

Terrible news

Here is hoping that Suggs has a quick and full recovery. Rough way to begin a senior season. Can he redshirt? Would he be willing to?

We are hearing eight weeks

the surgeon says eight weeks which means he should be ready to play by the time we hit Madison Square Garden….but he won’t be ready for his hometown game against St Louis.

He's not even traveling, apparently.

You’d think they’d bring him along despite the injury – must be an NCAA rule or something.
