Husky Stadium Renovation Clip

The University of Washington has released the latest renderings of the Husky Stadium renovation today, along with a fly-over video which provides a general vision of the stadium after the renovation. The renderings and fly-over have been generated by local developer Wright Runstad & Co., who will lead the development team for the renovation.

The press release mentions the football operations center but I don't see it in this fly by mock up.

Football Operations

I believe the football ops center is built in to the west end zone structure. It’s not quite as obvious as it was in earlier concept drawings we saw last year, but I think that’s what we’re looking at in these renders and the fly-through. We’ll obviously know all the details in a month or so once the project is officially signed-off by Emmert.

Yep

I like this look better for the football ops building. It seems to be centered in the west endzone, which gives the stadium a very nice balanced look. The previous drawings had it off set to the north side which looked good, but gave the whole stadium a slightly imbalanced look. Needless to say, I like a symmetrical look.

re:

If you look at the 4th picture in the photo gallery included in the press release, it shows the Football Operations building, it is indeed built into the new grand entrance on the west end.

Yeah I think...

…I like this concept better too. More balanced. How many floors do you think that is? They’ve got a car pulling into the area in one of the pics. What do you guys think?

I’d guess 3 floors…

New South Upper Deck

Anyone notice the south upper deck is tiered? Great idea actually. More seats closer to the field and more cover on seats. This is where I sit, so I’m kind of excited.

I’m also excited for new freezing cold metal bleachers (not really). Haha.

I'm On The...

…south upper deck. It’ll be great to have all new everything. Hopefully I can still keep the seats I have or pretty close anyway.

Yeah, I’m worried about that. I’m 29 and just moved up to Tyee, and I’m thinking I might be priced out in less than 3 years.

Sounds like I need to get a better paying job. Working at UW isn’t a money-making game.
