Corey Waller names UW as his top school (6/28/2010)

Corey Waller (LB/2011, 6'3" 225) has received a lot more attention as of late and says his top 5 schools at the moment are Washington, Cal, Oregon, USC and UCLA. "I like Miami too," says Waller, but he also reveals that University of Washington is his number one school at this point. "I like that they noticed me first," Waller said of the Washington Huskies. "All these other schools are sitting around and they saw my highlight tape, but Washington saw something in me that they liked and I like the program," Waller told CollegeLevelAthletes.com.

Go get him Sark

With his current offer list we should be #1. I absolutely trust Sarks evaluation skills…but it would be nice to win on some highly ranked guys.

You still get the feeling that if USC offers he’s theirs.

USCs class is starting to fill up

If he didn’t get an offer after their camp then I doubt he will. Fingers crossed on that though.

Scout has him as the #26 OLB

but his offer list suggests something else.

I trust Sark, but there has to be a little more to the story of him. Hopefully it’s just that he only camped at USC and they didn’t have him targeted. Or maybe he hasn’t camped much at all and was resting on his film.

Something doesn’t add up, and if he’s worth an offer from Sark, things should start rolling for him.

Getting Waller's attention first could be HUGE

Yet I think this cat may sit on the fence for awhile. It’s obvious that he’s waiting to see what other offers come in. I think like many SoCal kids, he’s waiting to see where USC and Ucla go. This kid does look impressive and it would be a huge get for our defense. One thing I like is his size coming in. We really need to get a little bigger and nastier at LB. Speed kills, but a very athletic offensive line can cripple LB speed if we don’t have the size to take on 2nd level blocks. Without size, we get knocked back on our heels in the A & B gaps.

All I saw was purple
