Why the Dawgs will win easily!!!

So far all I have heard for the most part is how close of a game that this is going to be and how many Huskies are worried about this game. Let me share a few reasons as to why I am not worried about this game and why I think we will win by about 17 points or so.

We are the Huskies and they are the Cougs!!!

We have Chris Polk and Jesse Callier who average 5.35 yards a carry to Montgomery and Mitz who avg only 3.55 yards a carry.

We have Locker they play with a Tool!!

We have Kearse, Goodwin, Aguliar, Brins, and Johnson they have Wilson and Karsetter.

We have a defense that has played well against crappy teams. WSU is a very crappy team.

WSU defense cannot even stop crappy defenses.

They think the snow is going to help them!! They give up over 200 yards a game and can only average 89 yards a game on offense!

THey got one win against OSU because OSU was looking ahead to USC. Who could blame them.

They have punted the ball 77 times this year!! 7 times a game! and only averages 35 yards a punt compared to 43 yards for us!

Tool has thrown 11 INT's thats 1 per game.

Chris Polk alone has more rushing yards than the entire coug team!!

Eric Folk and Rasp may be the key to this game. I am calling for us to win by 17 points but these two guys are going to help lead us to that victory! We dominate in these areas. Also Polk and Callier will dominate. We will win the time of TOP with our running game and the lack of a cougar defense. Locker will not even have to have an all star game to make the Huskies win easily. If he  only manages the game we win by 10. If he plays good we win by 17. If he plays out of his mind we win by over 21.

The cougs are getting talked up by everyone to upset the dogs or at least make it close. It reminds me of March Madness when everyone was picking Utah St. to beat the Huskies in the first round cause they were a 5 seed and everyone loves the 12-5 upset and because we are from the NW that was the easy choice. The dawgs won by 15 but I clearly remember that it was never a game. That is like this.. People are forcing this to be a close game when everything points to a double digit win by the Huskies. I say 27-10 Dawgs

I love your spirit

Just a couple facts wrong. According to the official NCAA statistics, WSU actually nets about 39 yards per punt compared to 36 for UW. I think you’re using the ESPN stats, which are somewhat fishy as they say our longest punt is 84 yards. I wouldn’t nitpick about this except our punter is like our best player man.

Your rushing stats are telling. While we suck at running and stopping the run, you also suck at stopping the run (also over 200 yards per game). However, all told we’re not that far different on D. Total defense for UW is about 400 yards per game while WSU is at about 460. For offense, UW averages 346 and we average 323.

All told, given that our schedules were very similar in terms of difficulty, a simplistic view would be to say that UW is about 80 yards better per game. It could suck for us because your greatest strength is our greatest weakness, but we’ll try to overload the box and make Locker beat us.

17 points isn’t unreasonable but I think the reason the Vegas line is 6 is probably because we’ve played better our last few games and we’re at home. I don’t think OSU was looking ahead to USC too much considering they knew they needed to beat us to get to a bowl (unless, of course, they thought they could more easily beat Stanford or Oregon). Anyways, everything you predict could happen but I think the Huskies will find a little more opposition in Pullman than you think.

Your punter is really good.

It’s nice because the jokes practically write themselves.

Don't worry, we've made them all over at cougcenter

It's true.

They’re very humorous about punting over there … just don’t try to line up PAC-10 punters and compare them to Reid Forrest, especially if your conclusions aren’t of the “RF is the best punter to ever touch a football” variety. There will be verbal violence

Yes i was using ESPN.

I think the biggest stat difference and why I believe we will win is the rushing stats. Plus 80 or whatever you said above. I think the home field advantage is going to be offset by our rushing attack. If anything the worse the weather is the better it is for the Huskies and worse for the dawgs.

My point about our defense has played well against crappy teams and WSU is a crappy team is important too. While our defense has been terrible against Stanford, Neb, Oregon, against the bad teams we play well. We shut down UCLA running game who averaged over 200 a game.

I think crappy weather is better for UW which is one of the only years you could say this is an advantage for the dawgs.

I will say that the Cougs have gotten better but it has been through the passing game and not the running game. This will not bold well in a snowy cold evening. My prediction is it will be close until the half and then we will pull away in the 2nd!!

Go Dawgs

All fair points

I guess we’ll see. Go Cougs!
