I know I may be talking to myself here, but IT looks a bit like Cuba Gooding Jr.

Away games

They need to figure out how to win away games. Two. Different teams.

We're done. Time to look at next season.

This is so bad.

Huskies are mediocre because of coaching

All publications state, they have the best talent in the Pac 10, They need to figure out how to win away games. It comes down to coaching, period. Romar is being OUTCOACHED. Wake you fools.

sorry dude, but that is an asinine statement

… or were you not alive during the Nance/Bender eras?

UW’s squad is severely undersized and, let’s face it, MBA and Breshers aren’t consistent enough offensively to give us any help against big grind teams. Keep in mind that we were planning on having Garcia this year which would have definitely given us a different offensive element in the middle.

I think Romar’s coaching is actually brilliant. The talent that UW can consistently get access to are undersized guards and “hustle” wings. Instead of trying to mold them into something they are not, he takes what they are good at and teaches them to commit to and amplify a style that makes their size and quickness an advantage on many nights. Its good enough to win many games … but this is not a team or a style that can or should be expected to compete for championships. To do that, you need dominant D presence in the middle, a Post who can score, a sharpshooter who can break zones and outstanding guard play (offense initiation, perimeter D, and ball control). We just don’t have all of that right now … but, man, we were looking good when Garcia was going to be part of that mix.

Damn, my eyeball tastes good.

This team would be scary with Garcia

Like you say its missing a big man (Brockman). Its also missing a consistent shooter (Dentmon last year). We all know what the weaknesses are and UW and WSU look very similar this year. I know your issues because they’re similar to ours

Coaching

Romar has been here too long for what is going on on the Court. Huskies are embarassament. Romar can ’t get his players to play on the road. Get some body who can. This is sicking

Did you see the size of their bigs compared to ours?

I didn’t think it would be a complete blow out but I knew this team would be in trouble. You can’t coach height! I suppose you could try to blame this on recruiting, but we were supposed to have Garcia this year and we almost got Cousins. Romar is doing just fine. In the end he can’t make us shoot 3’s at a better rate and he can’t magically make our team bigger. This team was highly overrated going into the season, sure we have a lot of talent, but it’s unevenly concentrated and lacking in the frontcourt.

This game in particular was less of a home vs road issue and more of a we struggle against teams with size issue. Our team will be the underdog every time we play a team with quality big men or a strong 2-3 zone because we lack the specific qualities to be consistent against those types of teams and those qualities are not coachable.

All it takes is a mediocre season and the Fire Romar crew is already out...

if Sark only wins 6 games next year is everyone going to be wanting his head too?

It's a weekly thing

He was hated two weeks ago, loved last week, and hated this week. It sure seems like a fun rollercoaster.

I agree

I think he’s a great coach that knows his stuff. I think the expectations of the team were a bit high and fans are jumping on him because of it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they figured it out and ran the PX tourney table, still.

Perfect way to put it

Last year was impressive in a stronger conference. Think about who they lost compared to this years weaknesses. He’s rebuilding a young team and has shown he can before. Give him a break

Comparaing Romar to Sark...

Didn’t know this was Romar’s first year at the UW.

It's not his first year

He’s done a lot of good things. Did he suddenly become stupid? Do the previous years not count? Last year not count?

If you want to fire him all of a sudden, you need to believe that he suffered some sort of brain damage during the offseason or something that has rendered him suddenly ineffective.

I'm glad I didn't watch

I went to Tacoma to watch the grandson play with the Tacoma Youth Symphony, a much more enjoyable experience than watching the road Dawgs.

Been saying for years…Romar is just an average coach who got lucky last year and is now coaching to his capacity again.

Lady Husky coach is in the same lackluster boat…..leaking badly.

I'm not a basketball guy . . .

but even I can see that Romar took a below average program and made them relevant, not to mention the fact that they compete for Pac10 championships on occasion. Pretty impressive accomplishments for an average coach.

P.S. – I think i’m going to nickname you “Happy”!!
