In Season Practice Guidelines

Beginning Saturday, Aug. 29, practices are closed to the general public. However, Coach Sark is extending his invitation to watch practice each Monday through Thursday throughout the season to all members of the Tyee Club as well as former Husky players, family of current players, high-school prospects and coaches as well as members of the media.

To attend practice, no advance RSVP is necessary. Fans with the affiliations listed above should simply check in at the entrance located at the northeast corner of Husky Stadium (next to Husky Softball Stadium) and present photo identification.

In preparation for its night game in the season-opener against LSU, next week's practices will begin at 7:15 p.m. Monday through Wednesday (Aug. 31-Sept. 2) and at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3. The Huskies will practice Saturday, Aug. 29, at 10:30 a.m.

What all this means is the only practice of the week that will be closed is on Friday which is just fine since the team will either be doing a walkthrough on the road or at home in preparation for the game. The key thing here is the media is welcome which is huge for the fans since they are the eyes and the ears of what is going on day to day.

Running backs

The running back position is the most competive i have seen in years. Chris Polk and Johri Fogerson have the edge as of this point. Mark these words, at the end of the day the feature backs will be Curtis Shaw and Johri. I have been to most of the pratices and at both scrimmages and Curtis is way under the radar. He has impressed me the most. Wait until the game on sept 5th he will be a major factor. Oh ya, Huskies will win. This win will be a great start to a great season and a great ERA, GO SARK !!!!!!
