I attended the Notre Dame game at Husky Stadium in 1995. I was totally jacked to have Notre Dame in the house! My wife and I had moved to new seats that year. We were in the nosebleed section on the North Side. We found out right away that "these Husky fans" didn't appreciate fans getting loud when the other team had the football. We had a few words but I didn't think it was too big of a deal. The Notre Dame game comes up and I was determined to do my part to make as much noise as possible when ND's offense was on the field. On one particular possession, I was stomping my feet and yelling my lungs out. This old lady, who sat to the right of us, stood up and walked over. She positioned herself directly in front of me, standing, while I sat in my seat. She said to me "You are the rudest person I've ever seen in my entire life!" I tried to ignore her, kept watching the game, and kept yelling and stomping. She proceeded to physically pummel me with her binoculars. It was all I could do to fend off her blows, that were directed towards my stomping knees. I took several shots on my elbows before I stood up and told her that she needed to "go back to your seat and sit down!" She finally did, but my wife was so upset that she ran out and got security. The officer came up to our section and motioned the lady to come out to him. That was the last I saw of her. We never saw her again the rest of the season! Needless to say, I requested to move after that fiasco! The people behind us probably thought the whole thing was funny and that I got "what I deserved". It's pretty sad to say that we have Husky Fans who go to the games and think it's somehow rude to make noise and support your team! That's my most bizzare incident at a Husky Football game, what's yours?
The next day I noted the bruising that I had on my knees and elbows. Unreal!
