OT Colin Porter to UW

Reports are floating around that the top offensive lineman in the state of Washington has committed to Washington today.

We will have more on that as the story develops and once it is positively confirmed by Dawgman.

Chris Fetters of Dawgman thinks it is accurate and is just waiting to talk to Colin personally to confirm.

There's the beef

everybody wants. Kohler’s next on Sark’s hit-list. Get ’em!

GO DAWGS!!

That's what we need

The ripple effect is going to be HUGE! This class is starting to get the feel of a top 10, maybe close enough to be a legit top 5.

We need 3 big uglies as body guards for our stud QBs. Once they’re in place we need to get a few book end D Ends and at least one lock down CB.

What position does Porter play?

Riva and Porter?

Is that our future LT and LG? Porter just has “winner” written on his forehead and we need that.

I think under his school jersey, Porter is wearing a purple Washington t-shirt.

A couple more O linemen, 2 book end DEs, and a lock down CB or two is where we need to get to.

Welcome Porter! WOOF!!!

This confirms what we've been saying

Nick Montana’s commitment helped Porter decide on the Dawgs. Per Condotta’s blog…

“That kind of put me over the edge,‘’ he said. "That proves to me a lot what that coaching staff is doing. … it’s not because of his dad but that he’s a great player and getting someone of that stature excited me.’’

More will come. Gotta love it.

The Complete Idiot's Guide

Condotta:

“Porter said another reason for aligning with the Huskies is that “they recruited me the hardest.’’ Porter said that on the last day coaches could visit schools in May, that ”five or six Husky coaches just packed my coach’s office and talked to me and it was cool. I was flattered they brought that many people down.’’

Quoted from the pages of Tyrone’s “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Recruiting HS Kids.”

Whoops…wrong guide…sorry.

Just rechecked the author’s name. Some guy called Sarkisian who writes, “always use a full court press and leave no stone unturned in getting the players you want.”

That saying something

When the entire coaching staff arrives at your school and they want you, how can you turn that down?

Great recruiting tactic. Keep in mind Dawgs run in packs- WOOF!!!

What a year makes in having top notch coaching. Remember how we got hammered by the TW lovers in the blogs.

The Dawgs are barking out loud again tonight.

O Line Coach: Cozzetto

Coach Coz has got it going on. I like the idea of him bringing in new talent and putting them inside at the guard positions. Makes a ton of sense. Why? Because as a youngster you are not capable of knowing the speed of the game yet. Get a young inexperienced OT on the corner w/ a savvy, speedy upperclassmen DE and it is sianara and hasta la vista BABY!

Coz is going to bring Porter into the middle of the O line so he can get acclimated to the speed of the game, where he will face slower tackles rather then speed rushing & nasty D Ends.

With Porter’s commit it should create a little domino effect for a few more O linemen. I would suspect that O linemen want to be committed in bunches, that way their class has a respectible shot at being good when they reach upperclassmen status.

Nick Montana’s OT buddy from Oaks Christian is visiting UDub tomorrow. Porter is expected to be on campus to chat with him- get on board Kohler, we need you buddy. You’d definitely be in good hands up here and in very good company.

Go Dawgs! WOOF!!!

Can you believe they only have a couple of commits?

Tennessee

Kiffin is currently tied for 22nd. Appears we hired the right guy. Some debated between Sark vs. Kiffin. I was behind Sark all the way.

The Bruins will end up with there usual strong class when everything is said and done. I really don’t start second guessing a schools recruiting effort till November.
