interested in hearing your thoughts on Scott Woodwards comments today about revenue sharing.
Hope Lawries a little sharper today, still feel good about our odds of making it to OKC .
Revenue sharing
I will touch more on it Monday but because UW is traditionally paired with WSU we give up more money than any other team in the conference. The point Woodward is making is that if conference revenue was completely split UW would actually come out ahead because the other schools would have to contribute to pick up the slack WSU creates.
The solution in my mind is WSU should move their half of the Apple Cup to Seattle irregardless of what UW wants to do. WSU would make more money and UW would make more money.
The Cougars of course are incredibly slow thinkers.
Bottomline is WSU does not carry its own weight and never has.
The old slogan you get something out of UW even if you never went there applies to WSU the opposite way. You still are legally boud to support WSU even if you never get anything out of it if you are a resident of the state of Washington.
I don’t think this Apple Cup thing is over at all. I think both schools need to figure out the relationship better. Funny, UW has finished the season playing Cal the last two years.
